A Cold-Free Winter

A Cold-Free Winter

Once cold and flu season rolls around everyone gets slightly more paranoid around every sniffling person.

Drinking lots of water, popping Vitamin C tablets, and getting enough rest are all age-old tactics to help avoid a cold. But what about doing something that will not only keep away that dreaded cold, but also improve your game for the upcoming season?

Hitting two birds with one stone has never been simpler.

One of the most enjoyable ways to do this is to spend more time outdoors. It’s tough to be motivated to get outside when it’s below freezing out, but once you’re out there consistently, you’ll feel noticeably healthier and happier. Most of us spend 90% of our time indoors, inhaling recycled air.

Our time spent inside also tends to be sedentary and that is not going to do anything for your golf game come spring.  Being active outside can be as easy as having a snowball fight with your kids or walking to the corner store when you forgot to buy milk. Of course picking up a new hobby will help keep you motivated to spend hours being active outside. An appealing idea could be to buy a fancy new camera and spend some time learning about its features by taking interesting nature photos outside.

By getting active outside and inhaling some cool, fresh air, you’ll be avoiding those cold-causing germs and be in a healthy, fit state when spring finally comes around and you can pull out your clubs.
